St. John’s Seminary is located in Brighton, Massachusetts. It is accessible from Commonwealth Avenue and is a short drive from exit 17 on the Massachusetts Turnpike. It is also easily accessible by public transportation, either by subway (Boston College stop on the B Green Line) or various bus routes. The proximity of St. John’s to major routes of transportation makes it easy for many guests to visit the seminary, and also for seminarians to travel out to various locations for their pastoral assignments.
Though it is located in the city, the seminary is surrounded by green space, and Gallagher Memorial Park is located down the street from St. John’s Seminary. This setting provides a welcome space for walking and meditation.

Saint John’s Seminary is located in Brighton, Massachusetts, a neighborhood of Boston. It sits at 127 Lake Street. Lake is a one-way street, and our location on Lake is accessible only from Commonwealth Avenue at the Newton/Brighton town line. We are the second driveway on the right, about 1/4 mile from Commonwealth Avenue.

We are also easily accessible by public transportation. The MBTA “B” line on the Green line serves the Boston College stop, at the corner of Lake Street and Commonwealth Avenue. We are a short walk down Lake Street (1/4 mile).
Our lay formation program is located at 149 Washington Street in Brighton.
