Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha visits Saint John's Seminary

On Wednesday, March 9, 2022 Bishop da Cunha of the Diocese of Fall River, MA visited Saint John's Seminary. We were pleased to welcome Bishop da Cunha for a Mass with our community and to share a meal with our seminarians. Saint John's is blessed to have four seminarians from the Diocese of Fall River who will be ordained priests this year.

Pope Francis appointed Bishop da Cunha to be the Eighth Bishop of Fall River on July 3, 2014. As the leader of the Fall River Diocesan Church he shepherds a community of faith of approximately 274,000 persons who worship in 78 parishes throughout Southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod and the Islands.

Saint John's is proud to serve the Diocese of Fall River which which is home to 82 parish communities. Our alumni serve the Diocese of Fall River as parish priests, chaplains in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and work in other diocesan offices and special ministries.
