Prayer:

Prayer to our Redeemer

Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Waster from the side of Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. Good Jesus, hear me. In your wounds, hide me. Apart from you let me never be. From the enemy, defend me. At the hour of my death, call me. And close to you bid me, that with your saints I may always be praising you eternally. Amen.

Reflection:
“The very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and strewed them on the road. The crowds preceding him and those following kept crying out and saying: ‘Hosanna to the Son of David, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; hosanna in the highest.’” (Mt 21:8-9)

A mere five days before being condemned to death, our Lord arrives in Jerusalem amid cheers of glory and praise. We must all reflect on the importance of not turning away from Christ, especially in times of trial.
