Transitional Diaconate Ordination: Diocese of Providence

Deacon Mark Gadoury was ordained to the Transitional Diaconate this morning at the Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul in the Diocese of Providence by Bishop Evans, Auxiliary Bishop of Providence. Please pray for Deacon Gadoury as he begins his ministry as a Deacon.

As a transitional deacon, this year is a pastoral, liturgical and educational preparation period for the priesthood. There are three promises made by the transitional deacon: to pray the Liturgy of the Hours, Obedience and Celibacy.
