Saint John's Seminary Kicks Off 140th Anniversary Organ Concert Series with Renowned YouTube Organist Paul Fey

Boston, MA – May 15, 2024 – Saint John's Seminary in Brighton, Massachusetts, launched its exciting 140th-anniversary organ concert series with a captivating performance by organist Paul Fey on Wednesday, May 15th. The concert was generously sponsored by Andover Organ Company.

Fey, a rising star in the organ world and a popular YouTube personality (YouTube), captivated the audience with his virtuosity and passion for the instrument.

"Music has the incredible ability to connect people and express a wide range of emotions," Fey shared. "That's what truly drew me to the organ."

The young organist's journey with music began in his kindergarten years with early music education. Throughout his school years, he explored various instruments, from classical guitar and piano to ultimately discovering the the pipe organ at 15.

Fey's dedication to the organ is evident in his impressive background. After completing his studies in organ and sacred music at the University of Music Halle (Saale), he now thrives as a full-time musician, composer, and YouTuber. He also holds the prestigious position as one of the organists at St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, Germany, where he collaborates with the church choirs.

The inaugural concert drew a diverse crowd of music lovers, Saint John's Seminary alumni, and friends. The energy in the Seminary Chapel was palpable as Fey's artistry brought the magnificent 1,994-pipe organ to life.

Looking ahead, the Saint John's Seminary 140th Anniversary Organ Concert Series invites music enthusiasts to mark their calendars for the next performance on September 8th, 2024. This upcoming concert will feature talented organist Gavin Klein, currently serving as the Organ Scholar at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
